“ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joen Korean Food in Orlando, and I have to say, this place never disappoints! As a regular customer, I can confidently say that this restaurant has become my go-to spot for delicious Korean cuisine. The first thing that stands out about Joen Korean Food is the incredible taste of their dishes. Every bite is bursting with authentic flavors that transport me back to Korea. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. On my most recent visit, I encountered a small hiccup as the restaurant hadn't officially opened yet. However, the attentive staff, particularly a kind lady, went above and beyond to accommodate my craving for their renowned tteok-bokki. I must say, it was well worth the one-hour drive just to satisfy my taste buds with this mouthwatering dish! The tteok-bokki at Joen Korean Food is an absolute must-try. The rice cakes were perfectly chewy, and the spicy sauce had just the right amount of heat. Each bite was a delightful explosion of flavors that left me craving for more. It's safe to say that this dish has become my all-time favorite. Whether you're a fan of Korean cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, Joen Korean Food is a hidden gem in Orlando that should not be missed. The dedication of the staff to deliver outstanding food and their commitment to customer satisfaction truly sets this place apart. In conclusion, if you're in Orlando and craving authentic Korean food, make Joen Korean Food your top choice. ”
“ Great place. Inside the Lotte, place your order, they give you a pager, find a table and wait. Kimchi pancake was really good. Eat it fresh so doesn't get too soggy. Vegetable dumplings were very good. Galbi was delicious and tender. Soup was flavorful, beef quality was good, but not great. Will be back. ”
“ This is a food court type place in a shopping market. So no waiters or anything like that. You order and pay, get a mini buzzer and when your food is ready, you get buzzed. They have a great variety on their menu and their offerings with each meal was great. I got the pork bone soup and it was phenomenal, even though it’s labeled as spicy, it’s not unbearable if you are new to asain spice. Worth a try! Huge portions for the price!! ”
“ Love coming here, conveniently located inside of Lotte Market. Their japchae and galbi are amazing and the sides are delicious. Lately when you eat there they even give this beef broth/consome that’s to die for. They’re always welcoming. I’ve never had a bad meal. Sundays I would say are the busiest. The gimbap and boba slush are from places next door. ”
“ Orlando, FL. My 1st time trying kimchi stew and I loved it! It was unseasonably cold today and that kimchi stew chased the winter blues away snap. If you like garlicky seafood based stew with tender pork, cabbage and onions you’ll love this soup. My blonde stepdaughter in Franklin, TN, gets kimchi ramyun when she comes down with a cold because it clears her sinuses. I took her some recently and my blonde granddaughter immediately confiscated it and ate it within half an hour of arrival. So kimchi stew is better than kimchi ramyun. I didn’t know the price included banchan (think brined veggies—great probiotics!), great sticky rice the expensive kind, and a drink. You choose the drink from a little fridge (Coke, ginger ale, bottled water, some other sodas). I sat at a table with a student with a backpack. We both sniffled over the spicy soups lol. After the student left two ladies my age sat there and had a discussion in Tagalog. I heard accents from Brazil, Mexico, Venezuela, and Idaho. Clients were of all skin colors and ages. I saw a couple kids in cosplay. The manager walked up to Joen and the person who gave me my order reported in Korean. Another staff person passed by and the manager said, “De nada, de nada,” in response to them. Love it. Great price for what you get. Good jumping off point if you’re curious about Korean food. Highly recommend. ”
“ Pretty good Korean food in such a convenient location! Love that they also give various banchan. Their bibim naengmyeon sauce is made in house, and it's perfect for a hot day. Service was friendly and prices are reasonable. I'll definitely try some other dishes because I come to Lotte all the time for groceries! ”
“ The gentleman there (who I believe was the owner) was very kind. He was expedient and the food was amazing. He even gave us an item on the house which I had never tried before and became a new favorite - the Galbi. It was tender and so flavorful. I am a fan of japchae and have had it many places and it was very authentic in my opinion. When the noodles are cooked as much as they were it’s essential to serve the vermicelli with white rice for texture, which is just what I received. My mother loves bibimbap and was very pleased to receive it in a hot clay pot, a way that we rarely get it in the states but makes all the difference in the world. The hot pot both cooks the fresh egg yolk when you stir it and makes the rice crispy, adding both flavor and texture to the meal. I could hear how happy she was while eating it because the flavors were spot on, with the delicious gochujang based sauce. My sister had the mandu-guk (dumpling soup) and said it was very flavorful and there was a lot of it. The Mandu dumplings were fried crispy and the filling was delicious. My niece had spicy ramen - which I didn’t get a picture of before it was devoured, and the owner was very accommodating when we asked if it could be made with no seafood since she dislikes it. It came just as we asked and she was very happy with it. Overall it was a wonderful experience. We just moved to South Carolina but are planning to frequently visit Orlando, and it was amazing to find such a gem. We were originally planning to go to another Korean restaurant we know of in the area, but were enticed by the offerings here at the deli/food court area of the Lotte market and we are very glad we made the decision to stop. 10/10. ”
“ The lady that works the register is always very friendly. The food is very tasty and I love trying new items every time I'm there. She also sells girl scout cookies for her kids so if you want to pick up a box just ask her. ”
